# Business Verification, Display Name, Green Tick — What's the Difference with ChatSyncs?

> Three separate things customers often confuse during WhatsApp setup — the Display Name shown to customers, Business Verification, and the Green Tick badge.

Three separate things get lumped together as "verification":

* **Display Name** — what customers see next to the number.
* **Business Verification** — confirms the business is real, raises messaging limits.
* **Green Tick** — a harder-to-get notability badge on top of verification.

None of these are ChatSyncs settings — all three happen inside Meta Business Manager /
WhatsApp Manager, independent of connecting a number to ChatSyncs.

**Example:** A clothing brand can message customers right away without Business Verification —
but once they outgrow the starter messaging tier, they need Verification to raise the limit, and
Verification is also a prerequisite before they can even apply for the Green Tick.
